Two recently received KC-135 Stratotankers and a C-130H2 Hercules sit on an aircraft ramp at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, May 2, 2022. The aircraft were recently retired and will now continue service as ground instructional training aircraft for crew chief apprentice students in the 362nd Training Squadron here. Sheppard officials have made a concerted effort to modernize the GITA inventory so as to provide updated models for Airmen in Training and international partners participating in technical training.
