When the 2020 Learning Professionals Consortium was canceled because of the pandemic, leaders requested a way to encourage collaboration and strengthen connections which resulted in the Learning Professionals’ Question and Answer program. The LPQ&A effort started in October 2020 with virtual sessions where participants are encouraged to interact with presenters to get a more in-depth level of engagement, sharing knowledge and experiences.

The goal for these events is to keep Air Force Learning Professionals engaged using presenters from the Air Force Learning Professionals’ Consortium and topics of interest from other groups from across the Department of Defense, industry and academia.
During the first event, attendees from across the Air Force attended virtually and engaged with Lt. Col. Kevin Boss, who answered questions about the Learning Center of Excellence at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas.

“This is a chance for learning professionals to spend an hour gaining a new knowledge base and engaging with others in their arena,” said Dr. Angela Canada, chief of the AETC Credentialing Division. “It’s also a great training tool, giving the opportunity to incorporate the recordings and resources into existing training plans.”

Subsequent months included presenters from the 316th Training Squadron, 82nd Training Group, Southern New Hampshire University, University of Tennessee and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Topics have included test option research, change management, organization management and competency assessments.

Each session is recorded and available through the learning professionals website at https://www.learningprofessionals.af.mil/
